What is SET FREE about: Community - Small Groups! Why Small Groups? (Acts 2: 41-47; 4: 32-35) It is our heart at SET FREE to have a church “of” small groups not a church “with” small groups. In these small groups true community can be formed. Small groups provide strength, encouragement, wisdom, accountability, and acceptance. We get strength and encouragement for life’s storms (Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 and Galatians 6: 2) and small groups are where you can receive prayer support and a listening ear. In a small group you can receive wisdom for making important decisions. The more wise counsel you have, God says, the more likely you are to make right choices (Proverbs 15: 22). In a small group you can experience accountability, which is vital for your spiritual growth (Proverbs 27: 17). If you receive something from God’s Word and then open up to a trusted brother or sister in Christ, you will find that those friends can hold you accountable to keep your eyes on God’s Word, especially when you are distracted. Finally, in a small group you can find acceptance and that acceptance can help repair our wounds. As your small group matures, the people will find the kind of friends who stick “closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18: 24). A small group is the only place where most people, whether you’re shy or outgoing, have a reasonable promise of finding healthy, functional, and accepting relationships. Life change will not happen unless we get close to each other. Small groups offer connection with others (1John 1: 7). The small groups will meet throughout the week and then we will all meet together on Saturday night (6: 30 p.m.) and experience praise and worship of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Come and join us at 4314 N. Romero Rd. Tucson, Az. 85705!
